If Jesus is the Word of God made
flesh, then His blood must be divine. Since the blood that ran through His
veins was divine, it then implies that it has spiritual efficacy. This
spiritual efficacy transcends the physical. It was the blood of Jesus that
washed our sins away. It is all that was necessary to ensure you and I can have
eternal life.
Some Christians think they’ll begin to live eternal life when they get to heaven. If you think eternal life starts when you get to heaven, you’ll miss out while you’re here on earth. The Bible says “…as the Father hath life in Himself; so hath He given to the Son to have life in Himself.” If you have confessed Jesus Christ and made Him the Lord of your life, then His very life has been imparted into you and will dominate you. When Jesus came into your life, light came in and all the darkness left. Now that He resides in you, your life has ceased to be an ordinary human life.

Now you may ask -“What if I commit
a sin?”, “Will I still be saved?” Our heavenly Father is proud of the fact that
He has many children who love Him. You shouldn’t feel inferior in the presence
of God; you’re accepted and loved by the Father, just the same way He loves
Jesus. When Adam and his wife sinned against God in the Garden of Eden, they
were ashamed and therefore hid themselves when God came to visit them in the
garden (Genesis 3:10). We are God’s children in deed and we live in his
presence now. The Word of God says,”…for He hath clothed me with garments of
salvation, He hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom
decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with
jewels”(Isaiah 61:10). Praise God, you’re never naked or exposed before men,
since He has covered you in His righteousness.
If you sin, He says,”…come boldly
unto the throne of grace…” (Hebrews 4:16) to obtain mercy. I want you to note
the word ‘boldly’ in the scripture. In other words, our Father is saying, “My
child, don’t be ashamed or afraid as Adam was. Come to Me with assertive
confidence and ask for forgiveness, for My grace and mercy are abundant upon
you.”
You are no longer of the world or
have the nature of the world. You are now hid in Christ and no one and nothing
can separate you from Him. So live and abide in the truth. Let this new life
occupy your thoughts and fill your mouth. Demonstrate the Lord’s will and His
Word as you walk in the Spirit. Count all things but loss for the excellency of
the knowledge of Christ. God has given you the gift of righteousness, so forget
the past. Don’t let it hold you a slave to its failures and successes; live
today to its fullest and press on into the future, holding God’s Word as your
banner. Hallelujah.
